Be sure your new mattress is properly transported and installed in your home to avoid any damage.
When it arrives, your mattress may have a slight “new” odor. Let it breathe, uncovered in a well-ventilated area, and the odor should go away within a few hours.
Always place your mattress on a solid foundation. If your bed has a slatted based, make sure the slats are no more than 3.5” apart. For a king or a queen, make sure it has a center support to prevent bowing.
Use a good-quality, washable protective pad to keep your mattress fresh and unstained.
Although it’s quite entertaining, we advise against letting your kids use your mattress as a trampoline as this may accelerate wear.
Don’t remove the mattress tag (aka, law label), as the information on the label will help if you have a warranty claim.
When in doubt, follow the manufacturer’s instructions for care.
